AMA Superbike or better known as the AMA Pro Racing is a top class racing has long been recognized in the United States. Some of the AMA Superbike riders there is also are going to the MotoGP and of course, after they have racing experience from AMA Pro Racing. With the racing experience from AMA Pro Racing, some riders fairly consistent when entering the premier racing class of MotoGP including Nicky Hayden and Ben Spies. They are the riders that come from the AMA Superbike and before they go to MotoGP, they have had racing experience from AMA Pro Racing and World Superbike Championship. Although they are not as strong like Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo, but they are consistent enough to keep the top 10 in MotoGP racing.

AMA Superbike Championship

Let’s look at history; the AMA Superbike has been founded in 1976 to facilitate the riders, professional racing team, and the motorcycles manufacturer. However, entering the 2009, the Daytona Motorsports Group has become the primary manager and takes over power from the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). AMA Superbike Championship consists of four major classes such as, AMA Pro National Guard Superbike as Premier class with 1000cc Superbike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbikes 600cc, AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com Supersport 600cc, and AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 that use Harley-Davidson XR1200.

AMA Superbike Schedule 2012

In the premier class, every race team could use mass production motorcycle such as, Honda CBR1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000, Kawasaki ZX-10R, and much more. Meanwhile, for the AMA Superbike Schedule 2012 will be held at several United States race tracks including Miller Motorsports Park, Daytona International Speedway, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, New Jersey Motorsports Park and many more. Nicky Hayden and Ben Spies is a successful rider from AMA Superbike, and now they have been in MotoGP.
